Arrive 15 min prior to start of Grand Entry
Check in with Amber Riesterer or Twynnane Naegeli if a flag carrier or Grand Entry Post Rider
Grand Entry Post Horses must be able to lead other contestants, post in a line, and stand quietly
Contestants will parade at a walk/trot into the arena, post facing the crowd. No loping or running!
Flag Carriers must have FLAG BOOT
Flag Horses must willingly and safely enter the arena. SLOW Lope around and post into line
The following order is how horses/contestants/visiting royalty/Queen/Princess will enter the arena
NWYRA Contestants led by the Grand Entry Post Riders (see flag carrier list) (POST)
NWYRA Royalty-Queen Run-in’s (exits for American/Oregon Flag)
Visiting Royalty (if any)
Sponsor Flags enter at the trot/slow lope (POST)
Presentation of Honor Flags & Anthem:
Absolutely NO running on horseback (walk/trot contestants parade/lope flags)
Horses enter in a safe manner or will be excused
Arrive on time/early for flags or you will lose your opportunity to carry
Kids will be expected to follow adult directions as all times
