2019 Northwest Youth Rodeo Association Court Tryouts Information and Procedures
The NYRA Court represents the Northwest Youth Rodeo Association and its members throughout Oregon and Washington, appearing in parades, rodeos, luncheons, and other public and promotional activities. Applicants must have reached the age of 10 by July 1st of the pageant year, not exceed the age of 18 as of December 31st of the pageant year, and be a current paid member of the NYRA. So if the applicant is trying out for the 2019 Court year they must have been an active member in the 2018 rodeo year. Applicants must be willing to abide by the Court rules, including responsibility of her horse and transportation, fundraising, and be available to participate in court activities throughout the year. You will be responsible to raise money in sponsorships for the court. These funds will pay for a variety of items you both will need as court members. Application must include the following:
Statement of why you want to be a member of the 2019 court (50 words or less)
Signed Application Requirements and Rules of Conduct
Non-Refundable $35.00 Application Fee payable to NYRA
1 – 8x10 Color Photo – for the Photogenic Contest (Photo’s will be returned) Head & Shoulder shot, Western Style Hat and blouse, No Crowns or Banners Please
Photo Release – signed by photographer of the photo submitted
